Thanks.Click to expand... 1. Whatever firewall/name resolution weirdness is going on, it only affects Pidgin. When the trial ran out for that and I saw Zone Alarm was updated, I tried it again and I'm back to the same problem. Mark, an ideas what could be happening?
Your probably sounds more like you have a flaky network connection to me. If there is a firewall disconnecting the connection, then Pidgin's code must not recover gracefully the way those other programs do. Any idea why it's forcing AIM to reconnect? it's crap.

Anyone else? Any use of this content without express written consent is prohibited. Once I turned it to Off and restarted Pidgin, it seemed to stay logged into AIM again. I like Pidgin better overall, but I have to use the product that actually works for me.
