Pins and cabling The twisted pins are from pin 10 to pin 16. You guys are great. You might be able to replace the PSU - however don't be surprised if the motherboard is also fried. Feel free to ask more questions if need be.

The power supply lasted about six months (shuddup Dave 🙂 ), and the system ran like molasses with its integrated video. While this hack allows for the end user to not have to mess with jumpers, it also restricts the system to two floppy drives. I wonder what happened. simple enough but i have since found out that the original disc is scratched and not too healthy im now left with a metal and plastic tower i cant use?

Cleaning a computer is not as easy as cleaning a room. As to beyondallken's post below, isnt there a heat transfer paste or such used between heatsinks and other components that might be removed / disrupted by separating components ? I've checked the 20 pin connection to the MOBO. It's OK as long as you do it gently.You should NEVER use wet, or even only damp, cloth on ANY electronic part.

Soyo motherboards, Matrox video cards, Ensoniq (now Creative) sound cards, Enlight cases, Quantum (now Maxtor) hard drives… Pretty decent stuff. (I'd have recycled the NICs but there was some reason why Worked for me.
