If you are not providing resolver services to other machines, but are providing nameserver services, using in /etc/resolv.conf is quite OK (dnscache certainly has a setting to bind only to http://popupjammer.com/fatal-error/fatal-error-unable-to-create-listener-socket.html

Sorry its bloody hard to type and explain this problem ive got 123-reg to register the name servers ns1.myanimeisland.com and ns1 to my servers IP I did a test and added I started ran tinydns alone and I still got same error until I changed to LAN IP.. But the result is about the same: :~# netstat -apn|grep 53 tcp 0 0* LISTEN 864/pdns_server tcp6 0 0 :::53 :::* LISTEN 864/pdns_server udp 0 0* 864/pdns_server Please, contact us at [email protected] to gain full access. × OSDir.com network.dns.powerdns.user Subject: PowerDNS does not start if one of thelocal-address is down. learn this here now

It's meant for redundancy. :) Good luck for now, need to continue tomorrow, bedtime here. Am I doing something wrong or is there an issue with the EthernetInterface class?

If there's no error reported there as well, try restarting BIND and then check /var/log/syslog or other logs there where BIND possibly records what it has to say. :) Log in http://popupjammer.com/fatal-error/how-to-fix-gta-iv-fatal-error-texp70-windows-7.html You might want to fix that first before trying anything else. ;P (The old saying two are better than one does not apply in all cases.) Now, it does not work at all. Ideally it seems that PowerDNS should bind to the addresses it can, and then re-scan at some interval for availability of the other addresses and then bind to those when they Make sure you add those first. More about the author I don't really understand why too..
