I can start in safe mode and in my latest safe settings. I tried also uninstalling it manually by deleting the related keys in registry but still I am unable to completely remove it. Restart. After searching the net for hrs and this is the only solution that really helped my problem. I will make sure I share this with many. You can also search the Windows registry for any entries related to Alcohol and delete them. Just find ways to delete the "sptd" folder in the registry. 3.) Now rename or delete the 'sptd.sys' file found on Windows\system32\drivers. 4.) I couldn't find any help on daemon tools support knowledge base but I did find a link to your website from a follow forum member. Out of frustration/curiosity, I installed the Pro trial instead of lite, and it worked right out of the box.I spent almost two hours screwing with reg entries, rebooting, and nearly pulverizing I know everyone else had said it, but YOU'RE THE MAN!!!I was about to give up on Daemon tools, everywhere else made it clear that x64 base does not give DT I can't speak for Alcohol 52, but my Alcohol 120% install folder has an uninstall file in it - uninst.exe.
I've checked everywhere until I stumbled across you. Daemon Tools relies on SPTD (a SCSI pass through driver) to do it’s magic and it checks whether it is installed. Checkstyle, PMD und FindBugs scheinen sich auf den ersten Blick zu ähneln. Do this also to a sub-folder of "sptd" namely "cfg" (i actually already deleted it so i forgot).
