I changed the cupsd.conf file according to the how-to I was following. Just wanted to make sure, as I've been commenting on some bug reports about [email protected]: I played with the BindIPv6Only setting as well, which I commented on in this bug report. Select Articles, Forum, or Blog. I think that this problem was caused by an update of cups (this week).

I'm only using a fraction of the functionality of cupsd, so it may not matter for now, but of course if you know causes and impact I'd like to know. If cups is not started, the port is not in use. After rebooting check whether CUPS is running by executing the command "lpstat -p". What does this output after rebooting?
