Clamdscan Lstat() Failed: Permission Denied. Error

And I have of course run service clamav-daemon restart in between all of these changes. AppArmor mitigates this risk of running clamav and protects the user from known and as-yet-unknown vulnerabilities in clamav. How to fix it? But the better solution is to set /var/run/clamd.scan to 755. https://bugs.launchpad.net/bugs/450250

Thanks Jon jonwatson, May 7, 2009 #4 falko Super Moderator ISPConfig Developer What's the output of Code: ls -la /var/run/ ? I was having the same issue with clamd on a client's machine, and for whatever reason -- even after an upgrade it still kept giving me the socket permission denied error I'd be curious if that helps in your case. Install Clamav Centos 7 When I specify /usr/bin/clamscan in state of /usr/bin/clamdscan (d for deamon), it works but takes 8s to scan a 7k pdf file..., because clamAV needs to load all his virus databases

This is the output I receive every time I try: [email protected]:/raid/Share/Public/# clamdscan -v /raid/Share/Public/ /raid/Share/Public: lstat() failed: Permission denied. Clamdscan Could Not Lookup : Servname Not Supported For Ai_socktype

# chown clamscan: /var/run/clamd.scan/clamd.sock
# chmod 660 /var/run/clamd.virtualmin/clamd.sock I tried touching it to create the file, which worked, but evidently wasn't enough for ClamAV to work. Clamdscan Lstat() Failed: Permission Denied. Unless that user is a member of the clamscan group, it won't be able to enter the /var/run/clamd.scan folder, so it can't access the socket. The AppArmor profile is intended to work in common usage scenarios, and if this is a common usage scenario, then perhaps adding: /** r, would be ok. The warning in the postfix logs are just because I had a Virtual Server with the same name of my server's hostname.

You could consider using clamscan instead of clamdscan for scanning files in /home.

After erasing all lines for ipv6 in /etc/hosts and made something like this: ip-of-server hostname.domain hostname it worked. (Of course I don't know which of these two really made the trick, Ssl 0:36 /usr/sbin/clamd -c /etc/clamd.d/scan.conf --nofork=yes So I don't know why i get this in procmail log : From [email protected] Wed May 6 22:32:23 2015
